OUR TEACHERS:

Karen Ritchie teaches World History, Advanced Placement European History, and Advanced Placement Human Geography in California. She has been teaching for 29 years, and enjoys learning with her students.
After her first trip to France in 2018, she became passionate about the country and reads as much French history as is humanly possible.
She and her husband have two adult sons, both of whom traveled to France with Mrs. Jones while they were in high school, cementing Mrs. Ritchie’s belief that travel for students is essential for their growth.

Jaime Banks is from Florence, Alabama, where she teaches art at a local christian school. When she’s not with kids in the classroom or spending time with her family, you can find her reading on her front porch or planning her next adventure. Her experiences growing up on the mission field shaped her quiet faith in God, a deep love for people of all kinds, and a lifelong hunger for learning.
